Quenchka is a very fast quench oil used to obtain the maximum strength, hardness, and microstructure from carbon and alloys steels used in the automotive industries. It was developed to obtain the maximum from steels while minimizing the distortion associated with fast quenching. Its fast quenching speed can produce the required as quenched physical and metallurgical properties with borderline critical diameters and hardenability steels.

Quenchka is solvent refined paraffinic oil to which speed improving and anti-oxidation additives have been blended. Its life in the quench system is virtually indefinite. Many users have never replaced their oil or have had to add additives. It has enabled heat treatment companies to meet or exceed the requirements of mil specs and automotive standards with many difficult to harden alloys.

 

Quenchka is being used in almost all oil quenching applications including press quenching, open quench tanks, integral quench tanks, vacuum furnaces, continuous quench system, and even induction hardening lines.
